Nicholas Goodwin

Nic qualified as a solicitor in 1982. He has practised as a family lawyer ever since. He founded Goodwins Family Law Solicitors in 1993 after heading a family law department in a large general practice. Goodwins Family Law Solicitors was one of the first specialist matrimonial practices in the country.

Whilst there are very few areas of family and matrimonial law that Nic has not undertaken in the last 25 years, his work is now mainly representing high net worth indivduals in the division of assets upon divorce. He also conducts children's work, especially in contact and cases with an international element. Nic is also a qualified Collaborative Lawyer.

Outside of the office, if not on his mountain bike, Nic can be found keeping up with his children and following Chelsea and Wasps.

Raymond Barda

Ray qualified as a solicitor in 1987 and has always practised family law. He was involved in the setting up of a general practice immediately after qualification where he practised family law and civil litigation. In 2001 he decided to specialise solely in family law and joined this firm.

Ray's case load is predominantly high net worth complex financial proceedings, especially those with an international element. He also undertakes contact and residence disputes.

Away from the office Ray enjoys spending time with his three teenage boys pursuing various sporting activities.

Sarah Buchan

Sarah has been working within family law since 1985 when she joined Nicholas Goodwin in his original firm. She undertakes a mixed caseload.

Sarah has acquired a wealth of experience in her 25-plus years of practice, and deals with all aspects of family law.

Tara Baker

Tara joined the practice in 1996 after completing her law degree. Throughout her last 15 years with the firm she has experienced a varied caseload and continues to practice in all areas of family law.
